IGNOU University’s Evaluation and Marking System: As many students enrolled at IGNOU University are aware, the university conducts two Term End Examinations every year in June and December.
Unlike typical universities, IGNOU employs a multi-level evaluation system that includes:
- Self-assessment exercises within each unit of study material
- Continuous evaluation through tutor-marked assignments, practical assignments, seminars, workshops, and extended contact programs
- Term End Examinations (TEE)
- Project or Term-End Practical Examination
The evaluation of students is based on various educational tasks completed by the students. All IGNOU students understand the importance of submitting their assignments before the start of the Term End Examination in order to complete their degree. To do so, students must submit their Tutor Marked Assignments (TMA) to their respective study centers.”
