The Military Engineer Services (MES) has released a notification inviting applications from eligible candidates for various vacancies across India. The online application process is open from 20th November to 15th December 2023.
Important Dates:

Eligibility Criteria:
- Educational Qualification:
- 10th Class pass with 50% marks from a recognized Board of Education.
- Diploma in Engineering (Civil/Mechanical/Electrical) from a recognized Institute.
- Age:
- 18 to 30 years.
- Physical Standard:
- Height: 165 cm for male candidates and 157 cm for female candidates.
- Chest: 83 cm with an expansion of 5 cm for male candidates.
- Physical Fitness Test (PFT):
- 100 meters race in 16 seconds for male candidates and 18 seconds for female candidates.
- Long Jump – 2.1 meters for male candidates and 1.8 meters for female candidates.
- Shot Put – 2.75 meters for male candidates and 2.5 meters for female candidates.
- Nationality:
- Indian.
Selection Process:
The selection process for MES Recruitment 2023 will consist of the following:
- Written Exam:
- Candidates will be required to pass a written exam consisting of a General Knowledge, English, and Hindi language test.
- Skill Test (for technical posts):
- Candidates who clear the written exam for technical posts will be called for a Skill Test.
- Medical Examination:
- Candidates who clear the written exam and Skill Test (if applicable) will be called for a medical examination.

Candidates can apply online through the MES website. The application fee is Rs. 100/- for General/OBC candidates and Rs. 50/- for SC/ST candidates.

Vacancy Details:
A total of 1000 vacancies are available for MES Recruitment 2023. The distribution of vacancies is as follows:
- General: 55%
- OBC: 27%
- SC: 15%
- ST: 7.5%
Reservation:
- 27% reservation is available for OBC candidates.
- 15% reservation is available for SC candidates.
- 7.5% reservation is available for ST candidates.
